A Pioneer in Creative Dog Grooming
Lori Craig, a renowned American pet groomer, has been a trailblazer in the creative grooming industry for nearly two decades. With a passion for artistic styling, she has excelled not only as a groomer but also as an educator and international judge. Her salon, Doggie Styles, in Moore, Oklahoma, has garnered multiple accolades, including being named Top Local Pet Groomer in 2019.
With nearly 20 years of experience in pet grooming, Lori has inspired countless groomers worldwide through her dog grooming techniques and passion for pet styling. Recently, she has partnered with OPAWZ to share her knowledge and skills in a series of engaging seminars and workshops.
Lori's journey in creative dog grooming began in 2004 when she participated in her first grooming competition. Since then, she has become a multi-award-winning stylist, earning prestigious honors such as the Barkleigh Honors Award for Creative Stylist of the Year in 2015 and the Liz Paul Creative Stylist of the Year award in 2016. Her innovative techniques and stunning designs have been showcased on prominent platforms like TLC's Extreme Poodles and the Today Show.
As Lori transitioned from competitor to judge, she marked this career milestone with her final masterpiece during her last competition at Barkleigh. This piece, imbued with commemorative significance, captures the culmination of her competitive career and her legacy as an professional groomer in the pet grooming world.
A Tribute in Oil Painting
To honor Lori’s extraordinary contributions, OPAWZ invited artist Wanning Liao to create a special oil painting depicting her final creative grooming work. This collaboration took place during Lori’s visit to Canada for OPAWZ's creative grooming seminar, adding a unique layer of significance to the project. The resulting artwork is a stunning tribute to Lori’s influence on the creative grooming community.
To further celebrate her legacy, replica versions of the painting were created for the students attending Lori’s OPAWZ workshop. These replicas serve as enduring tokens of Lori’s artistic spirit, inspiring the next generation of creative groomers.

Wanning Liao is a distinguished artist with a Master of Fine Arts degree from the Oil Painting Department of the Xi’an Academy of Fine Arts. Based in Canada, she is also a member of the Canadian Artists Association.
